New Labour - New Computing with a bonny blooming rose

A Statement of Government Information Technology Policy

The Government is firmly committed to the principle of keeping as many people happy as possible. To that end, our new IT policy has been developed by listening to the views of a wide variety of people from all walks of life, and in particular, the experts within our very own Civil Service IT Group.

This aspect of Government policy is sponsored by a number of major IT companies, all of whom rely on Mega$loth® products for their solutions, so we're really up there with the big boys!

Mega$loth® treated us to a 'Non-Disclosure Presentation' at which they gave us a five hour demonstration without disclosing anything at all! The coffee and cakes weren't bad though.

In order to participate in this new Democracy In Action, every householder must buy a modern PC fitted with the latest version of Windoze, and keep it up to date by regular upgrading.

Just think - now that Mega$loth® has released the new Windoze98, everybody will be able to spend a pleasant few hours reinstalling all their applications.

Standardising on Mega$loth® Windoze means keeping everybody happy:

All this shows that your New Labour Government is deeply committed to the interests and concerns of Great Britain, its industry and its people, and not necessarily in that order.

Aren't we good at what we do?

New Labour - Keeping everyone happy!
